From Hawaiian Waves to Vintage Vespa Adventures in Vietnam

Back in '98, I thought, "Why not swap Hawaiian waves for the thrill of a vintage Vespa ride in Vietnam?" Fresh off my backpacking stint, I landed in this land of vibrant streets and endless opportunities. By Day 2, I’d already secured a teaching gig. By Day 3, I was zipping around on my olive 1969 vintage Vespa Sprint, my new ride-or-die.

This vintage Vespa quickly showed its character—it was all about cruising in style, but a bit too stubborn if I was in a hurry. Through our love-hate tug-of-war, Vietnam turned into a tapestry of adventure travel tales, each journey adding layers to my connection with this iconic scooter.

If your family travel plans need a touch of spontaneity and a splash of history, nothing beats the thrill of exploring Vietnam on a vintage Vespa. It's not just a scooter; it’s an unforgettable adventure waiting to happen. So, hop on and let’s see where the road takes us!
